If you think that the Scuderia is the ultimate form of Ferrari F430, well think again! Because Novitec Rosso is introducing the real deal with the Edizione 747. Let’s cut straight to the chase: it has 747 hp and 738 Nm of torque, does 0 to 100 in 3.4 seconds and has a to speed of 351 km/h, but is it as refined and poised as the originalScuderia in which everything is bang on?!
It’s always cool to have more power, but if it ruins the handling for the sake of half a second faster acceleration, then what’s the point?! So to make sure that the 747 still drives like a Ferrari, the tuner has readjusted the suspension with new sport springs which lower the ride height by 30mm and installed three-piece 20-inch NF3 double-spoke wheels in sizes 8.5Jx20 in front and 12Jx20 on the rear axle are fitted with Michelin Pilot Cup sport tires in sizes 245/30 ZR 20 in front and 315/25 ZR 20 in back. It also has a hydraulic lift system for the front axle which at the push of a button in the cockpit raises the front of the car by 40 millimeters.
Like the original Scuderia which has a distinguishing paintjob, the 747 too comes with a unique two-tone special matte yellow and grey paintjob. The wheels also have the same theme. Inside the cabin, along with new carbon components, you will find a supersport steering wheel with flattened bottom covered with leather and carbon. Also for the ultimate sporty look, all carbon-fiber engine components come with a matte finish.
Now check out some pictures of the LF-A. It’s so good to finally see this car without disguise!
So the wraps are finally off of Lexus’ most anticipated product, the LF-A supercar, as the car goes on the show at the Tokyo Motor Show. The wait was too long for this car but by the looks of things it was well worth it! First impressions are that the LF-A is very good-looking, and properly loud. Lexus says that the LF-A is a machine engineered to achieve a single goal – to deliver a supreme driving experience. It has a life cycle of two years before getting an update and is priced around $375,000.
And it seems to have all the bases covered in order to be a supreme driving machine. Powered by a 4.8 liter high-reeving engine which can goes up to 9000rpm it is such a screamer! It produces 552 ho and 480Nm of torque at 6,800rpm, 90 per cent of which is available from 3,700rpm. It is coupled to a purpose-designed six-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox (ASG) that drives the rear wheels via a limited slip differential. As far as performance goes, LF-A does nought to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds and maximum speed is 202mph. Impressive!
The cars uses Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) for the chassis and bodywork instead of aluminum and that keeps the weight fairly low at 1480 kg. The stiffness of carbon materials also makes the chassis very rigid so it also helps handlingwise. The car also has advanced carbon-ceramic braking system and 20-inch forged aluminium BBS wheels wrapped with 265/35ZR20 at the front and 305/20ZR20 at the rear.
Lexus LF-A has a very special exhaust note which the company describes it as a soundtrack! which is ironic because Lexus cars have a fame for being generally silent vehicles! but this car must come with an impressive sound to match its character. Check it out for yourself in this
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
You are probably familiar with Hamann Volcano SLR, an ostentatious body kit for the McLaren Mercedes which was released about a year ago. First model was wearing a white paint with naked black carbon parts on bonnet, fenders and the boot. Then some months ago during the 2009 IAA, the tuner released a red edition with the same characteristics and now they are introducing the yellow version of this car! Technically all models are the same, Hamann has just changes the paintjob and released it as a new edition!
The Volcano’s appearance might not appeal to anyone, specially fans of the original SLR, but as far as performance goes this car is a marvel. The standard V8 engine of the SLR is modified with a newly programmed control unit, especially developed high performance exhaust manifolds and an amended belt pulley combination for the serial compressors, and the result of this changes is a massive 700 hp and 830 nm of torque.
Therefore the Volcano beats the original car and the factory-tuned 722 model in top speed. It is also faster in 0-60 acceleration as it only takes 3.6 seconds.
Just like the exterior, the cabin too features a yellow and black theme with leather and alcantara upholstery with hand-stitches and yellow carbon fiber decorations
German tuner IMSA revealed the first pictures of their finished product which is a prestigious upgrade package for the already ultra-hot Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4! At first glance, it’s hard to tell the differences, but if you look closely you’ll realize that the fenders are buffed up to accommodate the new 20-inch wheels covered with incredibly fat tires! It also has new side skirts and a wing at the back.
Speaking of the wheels, they are 9-inch wide at front with 245/30 tires, and 12.5-inch wide at tha back with 325/25 rubber. IMSA GTV also comes with adjustable suspension and a new sport exhaust system which adds 30 more hp, which makes it a total 590 hp and 560 Nm of torque.
For the interior tuner offers a blend of leather and alcantara and of course carbon fiber. There are also carbon fiber bucket seats with the tuner’s logo on them.
